The simple wedge design holds the lever tight inside the aerobar as it locks the brake cable housing tightly in place, andthe anatomic design gives you maximum braking at your fingertips. To assist with those tight housing routings that can happen with some internal cable routings, there is an assist spring added to the lever to ensure against brake drag.
